Metrics

Qualified Conversation

A live exchange with a decision-maker who fits your ICP and has a relevant problem, whether or not a meeting is booked yet.

What is a qualified conversation?

A qualified conversation is a genuine back and forth with someone who fits your ideal customer profile, owns or influences the relevant budget, and has acknowledged a problem you can help with.

It is the metric I report, because it is the honest one.

Why not just count meetings?

Meetings are easy to manufacture. Push hard enough and you can fill a calendar with people who agreed just to end the message thread. Half do not show, and the ones who do were never buyers.

// WHAT COUNTS

qualified: right company, right role, real problem, engaged reply

not_qualified: "sure, send me a calendar link" from a junior with no budget

not_qualified: polite interest with no problem attached

Realistic volume

Up to 15 qualified conversations a month per LinkedIn profile is what disciplined, researched outreach produces in B2B software and dev agency markets. Anyone promising fifty is counting replies, not conversations.
